Sunset Inn and Cottages is composed of two accommodation types on property: a Midcentury Motel (office & inn rooms) and the private cottages across the street. Each inn room opens up facing a courtyard where guests can lounge on the Adirondack chairs, picnic at the outdoor table, and play various outdoor yard games. This post details the two types of inn rooms the historic motel building has to offer.
The first type of room we provide sleeps up to three, with a queen bed and a twin sized pull-out chair. All of the beds have new hybrid mattresses (pillow top coil with memory foam) and all white, fresh clean bedding.
In this style of room there’s a dining space that can double as a work area, a kitchenette with a mini refrigerator, and Keurig machine as well as dishes, glasses, utensils. The microwave is in the closet area to maximize counter space. Mounted on the wall is a TV with a swivel unit to angle it in any direction. There’s an acrylic table that can be used as a vanity table or desk with a mirror hanging above that lights by remote. The walk in closet has a hanging rack and a clothing dresser for storage. Through the closet is the bathroom, which is outfitted with a vanity sink and a recently refinished shower stall with a rainfall shower head.
This type of suite is available in Rooms 1, 3, 4, & 5
The second type of room is the more intimate layout. These rooms sleep two on a new hybrid mattress queen bed with fresh, white bedding.
In this style of room there’s a dining space for two that can double as a work area. In the closet space there is a mini refrigerator, and Keurig machine, a microwave, and a select amount of dishes. Mounted on the wall is a TV with a swivel unit to angle it in any direction. For storage there’s as hanging rack and a clothing dresser. Through the closet is the bathroom, which is outfitted with a vanity sink and a recently refinished shower stall with a rainfall shower head.
This type of room is available in Rooms 2 & 6. These two rooms have doors that allow for adjoining rooms if families or friends are traveling together,
